I just talked to Blaine regarding this amplifier and verified that he is the original owner and that it has never overheated and has never been back for service here. The photo apparently did not give a true color picture of the black heat sinks. There is no issue at all with this amplifier and the remainer of the three year AVA parts and labor warranty is still in effect. It is indeed a great value. You can safely disregard my prior comments below.

Without an owner's name we cannot track the history of this amplifier. However the fact that some of the black anodized back panel heat fins on this amplifier are now purple colored suggests it may have had a past overheating problem. If I knew more about its history I could provide better advice.
If it is in excellent working order then the asking price is very fair.
