Vinyl Party on 10/27 - Gear too!
« on: 24 Oct 2013, 08:42 pm »
Gentlemen,
The time has come for me to put the LP collection on consignment with a nice store in the City,
buy you good folks are welcome to go through it before I do.
The same cool mix of Rock, Jazz, Folk, Blues and some more eclectic genres as you have seen here
when I started cleaning out earlier this year. I have added several 100 more albums this week.

A few other goodies that I am parting with (my days of lifting things are over) include:
Bozak equipment cabinet in SUPERB condition! A shorter Danish Modern style piece, without speakers built in.
A gorgeous piece of furniture!

Speaker stands. LOTS of them.

Speakers: Mission, NHT, EPI (and a few more as soon as my helper gets here).

Receivers: A Luxman "Suck face", Remaining Yamaha & Pioneer 70's units (and a stack of misc additional ones in need of cleaning).

Turntables: Dual, Technics, (still working on this pile)

CD Players: HELP! I am drowning in Sony ES players and changers! A nice NAD there too.

No "High End" gear, but lots of nice sounding stuff that I have enjoyed, but that I am not moving with me.
Those of you that have been here may remember my fondness for obsolete formats, and yes, I am thinning out my collection of
8-Tracks and Laser Discs too. Players AND media.

Sunday 10/27 is devoted to my mission to clean house. We'll wrap up mid afternoon so you will not miss the game :)
PM me with questions and RSVP.

Mostly mint vinyl at $4 each but stack up and we'll talk :)
The equipment? Quite reasonable pricing!

Sonab, I would like to rsvp. If you would, reserve one of the moderate priced ES cd players- I have a friend who needs one and is actively looking.

Thanks!  Dave

Peter,
What time Sunday do you want people to start coming over?

Bob,
If I had the matching Bozak B-302, B-305, or similar speaker that went with that equipment cabinet, that unit would have been gone the last time I bought records from Peter.  The cabinets are very rare, maybe one on ebay every year or two, if that.  If I lived on the coasts I'ld buy it to resell it.  Since both of my Bozaks are 4 series, it really doesn't match.
Bozak was known for fine cabinetry and using good woods.  I saw the cabinet under poor light conditions, so I can't comment on the state of the finish.  However, if anybody is interested, please note that most Bozaks had a lacquer finish, not an oil finish like the vast majority of Klipschorns.  So refinishing classic Klipsch products is usually just a matter of a lot of cotton rags, boiled linseed oil, 0000 steel wool, and elbow grease. *IF* the Bozak cabinet needs any serious work it would need to be stripped, to do it right.  Either way it is a fine piece of well built furniture.

Gentlemen,
Let's "party" from noon - 3pm on Sunday
Please PM for directions.

P.S.
The Bozak equipment cabinet does not need re-finishing :)
