We're off to Rocky Mountain Audiofest today.  For those of you who will be attending, we will be in Suite 1107 along with Audio by Van Alstine.

For every show, we like to do a little something unusual.  I ran across some very rare (and expensive) white ebony recently.  So we decided we would do a pair of our new Veracity ST's using it.  They are certainly one-of-a-kind.

We will also be bringing a pair of rose/red SongTowers, Silk monitors, the experimental Exotica design and our SoundScape 8's.  Should be a little something for everyone.

Got to get packing so we can get on the road this afternoon.

I will be there Saturday. Have to admit I am not too interested in that finish (from the pictures) but as we all know, pictures dont do your work justice so I have faith it will look better in person.

Jim is also bringing a pair of Songtowers that I'll be picking up on Thursday.  The cherry/red are what I ordered.  It's going to be hard to attend RMAF with a new set of speakers at home!   Since this is my first RMAF, I got a 3 day pass. Yes, I'm looking forward to this weekend!

I had the opportunity to see both the white ebony and the new Exotica's in person this weekend when I picked up my HT speakers.  You guys are in for a treat.  The white ebony is truly unique.  I won't spoil the surprise and let Jim tell you about the Exotica's.

There's a thread on this somewhere back there.   But the bottom line is that this is a 2-way bookshelf speaker using the Uber-Expensive Seas Exotic drivers--an 8" woofer and 1" dome tweet that cost around $1400 a side.  That's the drvers, not the speakers.  They are high-sensitivity, which means there won't be a lot of bass below 50 Hz.   The system sensitivity is something like 90-91 dB.

Holy Cannoli! Those are cool.    never seen "white ebony" before...  sounds kinda like an oxymoron, but very nice looking!

Can't speak to the Veracity ST's but I have the supercharged Songtowers and love them.  I often think if I ever buy another set of speakers, I will wait for Jim to make a set for a show and just buy that set.  I m always ogling over the pics and with the bonus of not having to wait.

I was lucky to hear this pair at RMAF.  Was looking for a Raal setup, trying to decide between Salk and others that use Raal, and was simply blown away by how the "little" STs filled his rather large room with sound.  They really stood out vs others at the fest, and I ended up getting a pair on order.
