Hi all Audio Circle members.
About two years ago I bought a Benz Micro Gold MC cartridge (Paid 425$)
for my Rega P3 and my Bellari V-129,
despite the fact that the BMG is a high output cartridge,
it did not have enough output for my Bellari phono amplifier,
plus the fact that I had to use a super cheap Rega plastic spacer (Paid 25 USD, what a rip off)
because the BMG cartridge is much bigger/higher than the original Exact cartridge.
The Rega Exact MM (5-7mv) cartridge (Paid 595 USD) had lost it's diamond tip and canterliver tube,
it was teared off when re-packing the table in it's original box.
What I would like is to ship the Rega Exact cartridge to an AC members in the US to get it re-tiped by Soundsmith
or an other qualified repair man (Re-tiping should be 150 USD) in exchange of my brand new
Benz Micro Gold never used.
Is there a volunteer for that task?
Original purchase price 425 USD less re-tiping of the Rega Exact 150 USD =
You would pay 15o USD for a Benz Micro Gold worth 425 USD.
Does that makes sense and is it a good deal?
I can even throw in a new AT3600L MM cartridge that was given to me by a friend.
