Has anyone seen this new sci fi movie yet.  The reviews look enticing.

Went to see it in 3D - amazing 3D effects, definitely worth seeking out the 3D showings if you can.

Story is just a little far-fetched, but it's a pretty good movie imo.

It was transcendent and immersive, a cinematic spectacle.  However,  my wife's comment was spot on. "I was tense and bored through the whole thing"
It is man vs the environment story, and that just wasn't enough for us to call it "good" or to give a blanket recommendation. Well acted but just missing something from the character/storyline aspect, in our opinion.

It was visually spectacular and surely garner many awards for
technical achievement. I liked the range of emotions that Sandra Bullock was able to act throughout the film.

It is a simple story of survival in the end and there is no real side plot. That is the limitation here and you could find ot too simple.  However I enjoyed it and would recommend it to friends.  A good film to see on the big screen with a THX sound system.
