Tubed phono stage in a 2 box unit capable of handling mm and mc cartridges
Very quiet and robust power supply design
Downsizing or this would be with me for a very long time

Specs
First amplification stage by low noise J-fet/6922 valve cascode
· Subsequent amplification by 12ax7
· 4 HT power regulators
· Off - board remote power supply
· Gain Moving Magnet 40dB Moving Coil 60dB · 47k, 470ohm and 100ohm loading

"Briefly, the circuit topology is a hybrid using a low noise fet with valve cascode. There are two stages of amplification in the signal path with passive equalisation between the stages. The input loading and stage gain can be adjusted internally to suit MM and MC cartridges. Each amplification stage has it's own dedicated low noise wideband discrete HT voltage regulator. The same regulator circuit is used for the valve heaters. this preamp has been customised with Holco resistors and Audience capacitors. Valve type One 12at7 One 6DJ8.

Hi Sorry for the tardy reply

To me it sounds alot like an Ear 834 but not nearly as warm and much better bottom end
I've compared it to many phonostages in that price category and to my ears it's much better sounding then it's counterparts (Benz Lupachek, Project ,Graham Era Slee)
Paul Hynes is a power supply guru so the build of it is very impressive :thumb:
This is a great value

I hope this helps
