Vintage Sansui 5000A 55 Watt Receiver circa 1969 Greetings! Still selling off some great pieces from my collection. (Gosh, I hate to do this...) Here you will find an extraordinary clean Sansui 5000A in truly exceptional condition. I would venture to bet that you'd be very hard pressed to find one any cleaner! Really. No dents, scratches, etc. Look at the case, front plate and inside. Photos tell all. I also have the original box and packing material. I do believe that I have Sansui's original promotional literature as well, but I'll have to look through my files. Manual is easily available online.
This unit just came back from Mike Missel, stereo tech at MJM Sound, in St. Louis. For those of you in the Gateway Audio Society Circle, you know Mike's work: great, thorough, complete and he stands behind it. I was having problems with the left channel. Mike did the following: 1) repaired left channel, 2) replaced noisy transistors in the tone amp, 2) replaced burned out dial lamps, 3) cleaned all controls and switches, 4) adjusted and calibrated the unit, and 4) cleaned and bench tested the entire unit.
This little piece of audio history is not only clean as a whistle, it also comes with a clean bill of health, completely reconditioned from St. Louis' most respected tech. Everything WORKS as it should. NO ISSUES! It's beeeuuutiful...
