It's nice to be home!

This is a thread about nothing, really.
This Summer has been spent beating on and riding motorcycles but today I was just totally worn out and decided to sleep, recuperate and listen to music.
I REALLY missed listening to the 3.7s, they really do the trick for me.
Time to put on Jeff Beck's Emotion and Commotion on the turntable and marvel at his prowess.
He's one of the few who didn't reach a plateau as his playing just keeps improving as the years go by.

So you really miss listening to the 3.7s, they really do the trick for you. Do you say the same thing about your MMGs, 1.7s or 20.7s?

The 20.7s went to a new owner 3,000 miles away many months ago.
They were just too large for the room but I came real close to getting them to play right.  I just needed another 6 feet in each direction but that wasn't going to happen.
The 1.7s work really well upstairs but are too small for the downstairs which is where I am right now.
The MMGs are used with lesser electronics by the wife for her television so I hear them a lot but 3.7s they're not.
This one's too big, this one's too small, this one's just right.
The 3.7s are just right for the living room although if the wife had her way they'd be replaced with Mini Maggies.

Man, if you wanted a pair of 3.7s so badly, you could have called me. I would have traded my 3.7s for your 20.7s and not asked for a penny more.

Kidding aside, the 3.7s are wonderful to my ears. Although I could shoehorn a pair of 20.7s into my room, I think they're just a bit too large for my room's width (especially with the 5' knee walls). Of course, I could be wrong about that. I'd love to try a pair, but I'm actually very happy with the state of my system as it is. Like you, I'm enjoying that goldilocksian feeling of 'just right'.

 Jeff is amazing. I agree; he's even better now than ever before. There was a thread about what musician we'd like to have over to our homes. I'd much rather visit Jeff's home - a castle full of cars. He could talk my ear off about his cars as he took me out for a spin in each one. Then, we could have a couple pints as we talked shop about music. Well, it would be fun for me. :D

BTW, I just happened to be listening to 'Who Else!' when I ran across this thread.

I also swapped out the silver interconnects with some custom made Beldens some time back but never actually sat down and gave them much of a listen as I was too busy pumping grease in the garage.
They certainly made an improvement for the better.
Anyone who says Maggies are bass-shy is mistaken.

It's been a while since Mr. Beck has put out an album and like an idiot I found out that he was playing in Washington, DC with Brian Wilson right about the time I was on his web site seeing what he was up to.
Had I seen it earlier I would not have been home, I would have been in DC.
