I only need one pair, so up for your consideration:

CIA’s original monoblocks, the 40 watt VMB-1 chip based American made amps that originally sold for $1,000/pair. I’m the third owner (since 2006), but until recently they have been in storage for 3 years and are in spotless condition, 120 volt version, serial #M61353/M61354.  The design focused more on beefy power supply versus ultra-short circuit path, definitely not some gainclone nightmare (like some), they are 6.25” x 5.5” x 8.5” and in Dusty’s tradition, spartan.  They are well reviewed with tube harmonic richness, great imaging, superior micro/macro dynamics, and overall their stunning sound hits way beyond their price range. $200/pair.

Or…

CIA’s original world-class digital monoblocks, the 100 watt D-100 amps that originally sold for $1,600/pair. I’m the second owner (since 2010) and also are in spotless condition, American made, the same size, spartan design, use a beefy power supply, 120 volt version, and are well built, serial #DM1634/DM1635.  They have a special modified Hypex UcD 180 circuit, lots of positive reviews, high value, and as Dusty has indicated, sound even better than the VMB-1’s.  These are the later version (8 screws on heat sink) that have the current limiting fault resolved.  $400/pair

They’ve only been used in my locked audio man-cave in a non-smoking household.  I’ll be happy to keep either pair in my $9,000 system, have never clipped either pair, and they don’t get much more than just warm, and will throw in a pair of $130 Element Cable Red Storm power cords (that are recommended for them), so be the first to take your pick.
