Logitech has brought back the Squeezebox Radio as the UE Smart Radio and now includes the rechargeable battery upgrade as standard. A built-in option lets you "downgrade" to the Squeezebox firmware. Just got one for use on the patio, garage, etc.

Regularly $180 you can get it through the Logitech VIP Store for $99 shipped.

Unfortunately, you must have bought directly from Logitech.com in the past in order to access this store, unless there is some sort of workaround (might try contacting their customer support):

Cool... did not see that! I probably should have bought from there for the speedier shipping.

I picked up on of these Logitech UE Smart Radio's to replace an ailing Sony AM/FM alarm clock radio.  It was very easy to set up, enter my internet streaming sites and sync with my computer stored music after downloading the software.  In addition to internet music and stored music, you can also access local FM stations.  There are daily alarm settings.

It's fairly intuitive and easy to operate.  There is even Android and Apple apps if you want to use your cell phone as a remote.  Sound quality is decent for what it is - a small box.

Anyway a relatively inexpensive way to access and do non-critical listening to you collection.  Hopefully it will hold up without any future glitches.

HaHa.  No snooze alarm, wife almost wanted me to return it.  Multiple alarm time settings accomplish the same thing.  Now that the digital clock is set when the unit is off, she appears happy with the UE smart radio.
