Hi Jazzman53,

I built those years ago per Jon Risch's design. The Belden 89259 cable works great in my system as an interconnect but not as a loudspeaker cable. I've tried them several times but they continue to hang on my closet door. Maybe others will have a different experience with them. YMMV

I've only got a few hours listening time with them but I'm not hearing anything I don't like.  My speakers are bi-amp'd hybrid electrostats and I'm only using the coax cables on the electrostat panels.   I think they sound great.   :thumb:

Maybe it’s just me not being able to get around the idea of using a shield as a loudspeaker cable. It just seems to compress things in my system and causes me to increase the volume. I have better luck using Belden’s Brilliance line of cables for my loudspeakers, again YMMV. My system is also bi-amped and I've only tried the cross connect cables on my top MTM loudspeakers, never for my bass cabs.

They may sound different driving a resistive load (?)

My experience with that type of cable was it sounded weird. I've been using the White Lightening for awhile though.
