I found it weird that they talked about CDs like they were some kind of long forgotten technology. One of the world's largest e-tailers still sells CDs the last time I checked. I even know some kids who would rather get the CD copy instead of purchase the download. Typical "news" article I suppose. Too much fluff and not enough substance.

It was the only reason to go shopping with Mom.

There are lots of great vintage photos and I hate to admit it but the author is spot on.How many people do you know who really have good stereos? How many of your neighbors do you think go home at the end of the day and listen to music as their primary source of entertainment instead of just background noise?
