I've tried to use Android phones, but the thoughtfulness and cohesiveness of the iOS experience wins out every time.  iPhones and iPads are by no means perfect, but I do like them better.

Also, being able to upgrade the software on the phone with every new iOS release yourself rather than waiting for the manufacturer and carrier to approve an upgrade, that's way better.  Yes, you can root your Android phone, but then you potentially lose out on any handset specific customizations that might be needed.

Aside from price (and isn't dramatically different at the high end) I find the Apple experience more friendly to the end user.

The problem with Apple hardware is that, it is so well designed to withstand daily abuse...that it delays the necessity of upgrade that so many people are addicted to.  I see the notion of people swapping their cellphones yearly or every other year simply as an unnecessary purchase or perhaps might it be a manifestation of something implicitly wrong with a device that is just 1 year old?  I went from the iPhone 4 to the 5 after two long years.  While some people still like the 4, I felt that the two glass faces, especially with the back glass face a terrible durability move.  The iPhone 5 with the aluminum back adds durability to the device....which makes me think that I can hold on to it until 6-7 easily.  I still remember when I first got the iPhone 5....the seamless speed and responsiveness which made the iPhone 4 feel like a slow poke....perhaps it was also due to the LTE network availability.  iPhone 5 to 5S....I do not know.  But going from a 3GS to a 5C or 5S it would be like going from a bicycle to a plane.

When it comes to screen size, the 5 really killed the portability factor that was very decent with the pre 5 phones.  Hardly no shirt pockets can fit the 5 and if there is a diagonal increase of the screen size as people are clamoring...there will be NO way people will be able to carry such device WITHOUT a "man bag."  A phone that does not fit a shirt pocket=++++ lost or misplaced phones.  Perhaps I am the only one who see this as an issue.   :thumb:
