My Synergy Control Amp is equipped with a Stereo/Mono switch. I have a lot of mono recordings, all either on CDs or computer files (AIFF format), no vinyl. Is it advisable to engage the mono switch whenever playing back mono material, or is the switch meant for mono vinyl playback and taming noisy radio signals? Thanks for any help.

It's for both sources. Why play stereo stuff when the recording is mono? And when the source is too noisy, the switch is there.

I think that I'd like Frank to eliminate the switch all together.
