Speaking of road trips.........
« on: 22 Sep 2013, 08:04 pm »
Steve, your flight to the Land of Burning Rivers got me thinking......

My father retired about 30 years ago and developed a hobby of driving other people's car to the owner's destination.  He got paid for direct expenses, a plane ride home, and not much else.  Dad also got to see different parts of the country at a leisurely pace, and enjoyed valuable time away from my mother.   :?

Anybody know if these broker services still exist, and how to find them?  I have to pick up a car in DC, and if I could find a car/truck with a decent sound system that needs to go from STL to DC or nearby, it could be a win-win.   :thumb:

Thanks, all!

p.s.  Dad was an audiophile back in the day.

Google driveaways and you'll get a few companies. Here's one

The hobby of your father is interesting. I also love cars and have two but I like to drive just my own cars.
