Please suggest European CEE 7 AC mains plug with value/performance similar to USA Marinco Hospital Grade
  Thanks!

James, check ebay for this item, you can probably do quite a bit better than the basic Marinco in performance for less than what a Marinco plug might cost.

Thank you sir, as usual!

Search text for EU equivalent to USA "Hospital Grade," if such exists?

Just putting 'marine grade' or 'hospital grade' on the label adds a lot to the price tag.  In this case Marinco does both. Much of both of these grades has to do with hostile (wet) environments.

Hospital Grade is probably more meaningful to audiophiles for receptacles versus plugs.  Hospital Grade receptacles have higher blade and ground contact pressure versus standard receptacles.

Sometimes inserting and especially removing HG plugs from HG receptacles takes considerable torque, multiples greater than any standard domestic combination.

Just mentioning this in passing.  If my choice was metal A contacting metal B vs. any two matched metals on both sides, I'd personally select the latter every time over the former (no matter how costly was metal A or B).  Someone (Merrill TT designer maybe?) many years ago mentioned scientific data supports this conclusion.

And since there is no exact standard for base metal and plating (both metallurgical and hardness) you will get closer to that ideal with matched plug and receptacle from the same manufacturer/series.
