GR Research V1

Hi all Audio Circle members.
I don't know how to handle this...
I have a pair of GR Research V1
All the drivers - amplifiers - crossover were bought new
from Danny Ritchie about five years ago.
The enclosure was built by a local Vietnamese cabinet maker
and I did the insulation and wiring.
(Spikes are not shown, but included.)
They are heavy, I estimate 200 pounds each.
They are now in Vietnam.
Of course it would be costl;y to send them to USA even by sea cargo.
I want 1,000 USD for the pair and the price would include crating for sea cargo, but not the sea cargo fees, however, I can arrange to be picked-up and put on the vessel.
Not sure if this makes sense ? ? ?
Let me know what you think.
I could also take out all the components and put them in boxes to be shipped.

Guy, I may have interest, but know nothing about shipping from Vietnam. It would be a guts only deal (no cabinets), would that change the ship-ability?

Do you know the differences between the V-1 and Super V?

We can take discussion to private mail if you like.

Thanks, Peter

Hi Peter.
First, I know about shipping from/to Vietnam,
since my wife and I have been doing business here for the last 18 years.
Don't worry about that, I can take care of it.
Second, for me it makes no difference to ship complete units
or only the components,
it's up to you to decide, of course it would be cheaper to ship only
the components,
I would guess that the cabinets account for 50% of the total weight.
(Wild guess...)
Third, the difference between the V-1 and Super V
is mainly the PAudio coaxial driver.
You can find out more on the web site of Common Sense Audio.
The 12" coaxial drivers I've got are BM12CXA,
the Super V uses the BM12CX38 which as bigger magnet...
Maybe you should ask Danny Ritchie from GR Research
he would answer you better than me.

Below pictures of my V-1.
Waiting for your e-mail.
