Hi All,

I am the current owner of Steve's (aquapiranha) OB's, as seen in post 136 here - http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=47314.msg697654#msg697654

I have ordered a pair of the new paper coned Alpair 12 to try in place of the B200. Has anyone tried these with Eminence Alpha drivers?

If so, what have you crossed them over at?

If you're bi-amping with an active crossover I'd go with the setting that sounds best to you.

I keep reading good things about the Alpairs.

I'm using the same drivers, crossed over at about 200hz. With the minidsp it's easy to play with the XO.

They all need to break in real good, I bought the a12p when it first came out, in constant use for a year, and I'm only starting to feel that they're coming into their own.

Same with the alpha's, break them (test tones... 40 hz) in and brace them, sounds good.

Good luck with it.
