Cool Doc. One of these days may upgrade my FV Ultra 500. Have no doubt you'll really enjoy it. Lots of low end torque for pullin' those blues, and the hi HP for rockin' & rollin' as well. Let us know your impressions when it's up & running.

You're in for a treat. My Synergy Control Amp continues to amaze me every time I listen to it.  A big improvement on the Insight series, which great in its own right. There's more authourity, but at the same time more smoothness and "ease"  to the sound. I love it.

It arrived yesterday! I got a chance to listen to a couple of CDs and two Lps. All I can say is I'm gob smacked. Everything said about this amp is true. Bass was the first thing I noticed, much more powerful and articulate. Male voices in particular seem to be more real. There's more separation between instruments and vocalist in the sound stage. I can't wait to sit down and listen to it more. I'll be putting on my Bella Fleck and the Flecktones "Flight of the Cosmic Hippo" to really test the bass handling of this amp.

I upgraded my OmegaStar 440 to a Synergy 450.
Sent it to AVA in September and received it back last week.
Wow!
It is fed by a Transcendence 8.
The detail is incredible. Soundstage is awesome, musicality tops.
