I am selling my Sensation M901 to cover my daughter's never-ending college expenses. I am the only owner and purchased this from Virtue Audio in the early Spring of 2010. The Dodd buffer and Sonicap Platinum bypass upgrade was done by Mr. Dodd in June, 2010. The amp has powered my office system at work since that time and has been probably been used about 6 hours a week. Never a hiccup or problem. I won't go into all of the details of how this sounds - if you are interested in my take on the amp, you can find my review on Virtue Audio's site under "review," "Sensation," "Michael." I doubt I will ever own a finer amp.
Details: Black faceplate and side plates. Cherry wood top. Black volume dial and buttons. 30v/130 watt upgraded regulated switching power supply for 87w/per channel. Includes the plastic remote (functions perfectly - fresh batteries included). Appearance is 9/10, if not higher. I take care with all of my stuff, and it shows.
Comes with the JJ 803s/12AX7 tube Mr. Dodd supplies (used 50 hours to burn in the buffer mod), 2 Grant Audio Psvane 12ax7-T tubes and a Brimar 13d5 (12au7 equivalent). I rotated these four tubes on a fairly equal basis. The buffer takes a wide variety of tubes and OzarkTom and others have detailed their experiences in some of the Virtue Audio Circle threads. The Psvane are outstanding tubes - my favorites (and I tried many others) and go for $83 for the pair.
Also comes with a Zu Birth 1m power cable. This is a pretty highly reviewed cable and I am big fan of ZU's products. Whether it makes a difference is purely subjective (and endlessly debatable), but I think it does. It sure is pretty with its sheathing and wattgate connectors.
The amp is in perfect shape and sounds phenomenal with my Usher be718s (they are being sold, too). The reviews for this amp are overwhelmingly positive and I will sorely miss it (the things we do for our kids- no matter how much you save for college, it never seems to be quite enough).
Ships in the original Virtue Audio packaging, which is in excellent condition.

I will split the cost of insurance - I insist on insuring this as I have had two very expensive audio items (an Onix SP3 and a high-end CD player) destroyed in shipment this year, one by UPS and one by the USPS. This is just too expensive to ship without insurance.
I am open to offers, but this price seems to be pretty much in the range of past/recent sales, and I think it is pretty fair, with the Zu cable and the extra tubes.
