January of this year Vinnie upgraded my HPA LFP-V Edition to Bellina HPA Renaissance Edition internal circuit boards and installed RWA's newly released Renaissance Edition Pro DAC. The Renaissance Edition sonic upgrade is substantial (more on the RE upgrade below).
So you are looking at a single-end (headphones) Renaissance Edition Bellina HPA, housed in RWA's traditional black LFP-V enclosure. The retail price for this unit is $2,995.
For more on RE upgrade, visit: http://redwineaudio.com/documents/renaissance-edition-upgrade.pdf

I’m the original owner. And for many years I’ve also been the guy who writes Red Wine Audio’s web site.

I’m reluctantly selling this beautiful sounding unit because life changes leave little time for critical listing, and proceeds will be used to help fund an American-made drum kit. (Live music is a big part of my life now.)

CONDITION / AGE
Even with a close inspection of the unit you will be hard pressed to differentiate from factory-shipped. Close inspection of the external power adapter and remote control reveal a few minor imperfections that would be expected with normal use.
My unit was the first HPA LFP-V ever shipped (personally signed by Vinnie on inside). But the upgrades are 8 months old. That means that most internal boards and the pro DAC are new, as is the stock tube. So most internals are new and the casing is over three years old. Listing shows 0-3 years old based on these facts.

INCLUDED
Single-end headphone stage HPA LFP-V, upgraded to Bellina electronics (more details below)
Newly installed Renaissance Edition tube stage (now supports TWO tube families plus other upgrades; see RWA Web site for details)
Newly installed Bellina Pro DAC (compared to the previous LFP-V Edition standard DAC or optional Pro DAC, the Renaissance Edition Pro DAC is a sonic upgrade for BOTH Redbook and high-resolution playback)*
Coaxial, Optical and USB inputs
Doubles as an external Bellina DAC for your hifi system (fixed outputs)
Never used factory 6922/E88CC dual triode vacuum tube
Factory shipping box / User manual
Remote control / Power cord and external power adapter

* Two digital-to-analog chips on a single board. One optimized for high-resolution playback. One optimized for Red Book playback. More...

Only the new Bellina DAC module offers blacker backgrounds & improved dynamics — via upgraded DAC module, featuring 10x increase in capacitance and ultra-low-noise voltage regulation.

And only the new Bellina Pro (an optional feature) includes advanced technologies bringing sonic improvements to BOTH Red Book and high-resolution playback via USB:
· Asynchronous mode USB-to-I2S conversion (USB 2.0 compliant)
· Integer-mode compatible
· Supports 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, and 192k files (no driver required for Mac OS X)

Unique opportunity to get the latest and greatest sound from RWA at a considerable savings. Remember this doubles as a standalone DAC. Read the reviews on the previous version of the DAC on RWA site,* they are very positive! And the RE DAC has many improvements over the LFP-V edition, plus the benefit of the RE tube stage.
* You can find reviews that include the DAC under Bellina HPA and Bellina. Why the name change from Isabellina to Bellina? Because the Isabellina name sounds very similar to RWA's Isabella preamp. Bellina was chosen to reduce confusion between the two units.

FEEDBACK
Recent transactions have been directly with Vinnie in the form of trade-ups / upgrades, so Head-fi history has fallen off. Here’s a link to my archived Head-fi feedback http://www.head-fi.org/t/151571/alwayswantmore
