Didn't know you were going for one of these Berto.  Nice acquisition. I thought the Big 6 was a DSD unit.  So it is "just" a dac?

Just a DAC. Fully dual mono. No electrolytics. 6SN7 output tubes, 6x5 rectis, Duelunds cast caps.

In regards to Charles (Rollos) question. Although directed to Gopher I've owned that same transport for over a year. I never directly AB'ed to a PC but I will tell you it's a HELLUVA lot easy to setup.  Unless you are a computer expert which most of us are not.  The transport also has a tube spidf for a perfect sinewave. It's tube rectified which you can fine tune with diff tubes as well. Lastly no PC monitor or hard drive needed next to my audio rig (which I love). I just run a long CAT 6 under my oriental rug. It's a nice stackable matching look as well with the DAC. Pic to follow.

Gopher does the transport sound better than the computer as source ??

charles

The TranspOrt is the best transport I have heard, including modified Macminis with and without JKenny mk3s.   That said, I have not heard a tricked out CAPS unit.  I have no doubt some of those sources can sound great too, but I love the concept of the tubed spdif output and trust in Lukasz' ear to complete the puzzle.

Gopher, you need the trifecta.  Get the Lamp amps!  It would work with your speakers....

Just for you, Dr. Gear!

Thermionic goodness?

Those GM70 tubes look menacing! I wouldn't want to get on their bad side. LoL

Unfortunately this pair doesn't belong to me--I'm just keeping them warm till the LampizatOr Rave.

Last nights first impressions were that it was a solid piece, but listening today these amps are really special.  I'm driving them directly with my Big Six, no active pre and they are fantastic like this.

There is definitely something to be said about synergy and using LampizatOr throughout.  Fantastic stuff!

Gopher, any true audiophile would not let those amps out of their clutches.  Moving and infants and other lame excuses should not be not part of our vernacular....

I don't believe that sensitivity has anything to do with how a speaker will sound.  Further, I'm a Sean Casey fan but do not understand the Zu sonic signature.  With that said, there are many that love it.  You really do need to hear it for yourself.

Jason thought you were a Geddes guy ? Me personally would love to hear the GTAudio GT-2 with the GM70 amps. Not a dealer for GTA.

The sensitivity is there, but the 4ohm load isn't ideal.  If you have the speakers on hand, I wouldn't mind a field trip to your place some time to hear the pairing.

I'm actually considering the possibility of other loudspeakers.  I love my Zus but they sure are polarizing and I'd love to have a demo room in my new space (11 x 25 x 6.5 dedicated) for the Lampi gear all will love.

I accept that entirely. I was just interested in the high sensitivity because I would like to try valve amps. My existing Thiel 3.7s require monster SS amps to drive them properly.
