The Grain audio sure remind me of all those OEM woodies being made for name companies by the company eSmooth. The website seems to say they got the funding to produce their own unique design. I'd hate to buy one and find that they use generic drivers and/or enclosures from OEM vendors. The Phonon review, supposedly from head-fi, looks nothing like a real head-fi review by an experienced member. Looks suspicious to me. And the review acknowledged that his first impression was of a cheap headphone.
Great design on the over ear headphone. But the ear pads look uncomfortable. Can't wait to hear them in this very crowded field of audio.
You know, they look like Aiaiai Tma-1 studios with wood cups.
