Let me know if you're interested in selling an Ayre VX5e amp (and possibly KX5eMP preamp), or a Modwright KWA 150/100SE (and possibly LS100 preamp) or a Modwright KWI 200 (without phono/DAC). Just to give you an idea of what I'm willing to pay, the last few VX5e amps have sold in the $2400-$2900 range, and a little less for the KWA 150. Keep in mind these were only the listed prices, so I'm sure the actual sold prices were lower. Just Google it to see for yourself. I used this search phrase - "app.audiogon [name of amp and model]".

I don't mind a minor scratch or two and don't have a color preference (though I generally like silver.) Original box/packaging is a requirement.

A KWA-150 went for $1800 on Audiogon just a couple of weeks ago.

I'm not going to give away the pr. I have. Looking at what your willing to pay the MW 150 would have to be in rough shape to sell at your price. Mine came with a warranty although they are 4/5 yrs. old.
Why anyone would sell their MW for less than half  price is beyond me. It's not as if they are old amps. $6995 retail and you want one for $2900. Mac and other made in USA gear don't drop in value that fast.  That's insane. :duh: MW gear doesn't depreciate that much for many, many yrs. and as I mentioned they would have be rather beat up or a basket case.
But, you may be thinking of reselling for a hefty profit. I'm happy with what I paid for mine. And I didn't have to work down the sellers price. I'm not telling what I paid for the pair though.
Just rubs me the wrong way. It's kinda like insulting someone's intelligents. (spelled wrong) but who cares, you get the gist of what I'm saying.
Also if the $2900 is all you'll pay for the MW 150, then that tells me you don't know what a bargain the amps are at retail price.

It's nice to have an opinion; everyone's got one.  Some people, like me, use facts and, oh, something called market value, which, as you may or may not know, is driven by, you know, more than one person.  Anyway, more power to you.  Oh, and by the way, this is my WTB ad; since you had no intention of selling your amp, why did you waste my time?  Wait, don't answer that.  Really - don't answer that.  Please.

Oh, and I am no longer searching.  Thanks to all those who made offers.

LOL...seems like you have not heard much available out there, let alone know anything about the used market.  I had two MW pieces, liked them both very much, but I sold them for well below 1/2 the retail price and that was within the first year that they came out.  And no, MW is nothing remotely close to Mcintosh for sustaining value (again...lack of any understanding of the used market).  Even Pass stuff goes for 1/2 or lower after only a year or less of having been introduced.  I can name too many "USA" or name your country of beloved manufacturing that either hold very solid value OR decrease like no tomorrow.  I see it like this===Mcintosh holds like 75%+ of its value...Pass about 50%...MW about 30-40%...heck...look at the AMAZING Decware Torii III that when first produced, sold for even MORE than it was purchased for because the wait list was like 4 months long to get one.  BUT, one recently sat around below $2K on the used market and was never even sold!!!

I am not a person that is a re-sale type, but I can see a LOT of people doing this nowadays likely due to the economy and the "trend" to literally dig anything outta a trash can and try to get the pennies for it.  This said, I am a researcher and it does not take much time to assess a market and see what one can purchase X piece of equipment for...and what items one will have a very difficult time ever getting a price much below a certain price (as in Mcintosh stuff).

Glad the OP found what he was looking for.

A wise man once told me this: " The value of anything is what a person will pay you for that item".  :o

He's not wise, he's just correct (well, about a commodity/money related item).

One need only look at Ebay and see loads of auctions with buy it now/best offer going for say, $500, but an auction for that same exact item goes for $650-$750 because people "value" competition rather than a final price target.  What point is it to just click and buy something when you can go and beat everyone else and feel some kinda rush?:)))
