Okay, I'm creating this listing before I change my mind. I have to sell my Cherry Plus that I bought new directly from Tommy at the DAC. It's been working flawlessly since the day I bought it, which is just a few weeks shy of two years.

I also have two sets of XLR to RCA adapters. As you may know, these are the kind that have the detachable barrels for grounding, but they are pretty long. Back when I bought the amp, Tommy had a few pairs of custom adapters that were grounded but very short. (Actually, I can't remember which was which- grounded or ungrounded. All I know is the new custom ones got rid of a buzz and they are shorter). At any rate, I have both sets and they're all included in the sale. The original long barrels are $45 a piece, and the custom one's that I bought from Tommy were $60. It doesn't come with a power cord.

I'll post photos tomorrow, but I wanted to at least create the listing now.

Asking price: $2849 $2749 $2649 $2549 $2449 $2199+ shipping OBO.

I accept PayPal, money order, cash pickup in NYC. I guess a personal check would be fine, but it would need to clear before I mailed the amp out.

It is an excellent sounding amplifier that has powered everything in my house from Magnapan planar speakers to 90db sensitive Hyperion 968's. It made everything sound good.

Thanks!

Okay, I've finally had time to take some photos! In doing so, I noticed that there is the faintest of scuffs on the faceplate right above the "W" in the center. It was hard to get a photo of, but I thought I should mention it. I can't tell if it's in the metal or just the satin finish/glaze (assuming that the faceplate has some kind of protective clear coating). I didn't want to mess with buffing it out since it's hard to see and buffing might leave a bigger mark.

Well, I still would like to sell this if I can, so I'm going to lower the price again a bit. I'm open to respectable offers, so drop me a line if you're interested. I think I'll give it another week or two before I find another system in the house to put this in  :green:

PM replied. Still available!

By the way, if you scroll down on page two of the review that's linked above, there is a added review written by my friend Alvester Garnett. I forgot that he mentions my name in the review - Phil Palombi! That listening session is what inspired me to by my amp.

Okay, here it is folks. My final price on this great amp! I'll leave this up here for a while, then pull the add. I'm happy to keep it  :)

If I didn't already have two of Tommy's DAC amps I would buy this from you Phil. These are amazing amplifiers. I haven't heard anything else that comes close for reproduction of the entire sound spectrum and particularly for control of bass frequencies. Every note is defined, clear, concise, and just plain real. I like to hear everything that is on my recordings and the DAC amps deliver.

And as an aside, for you AC members who don't know Phil, check out his website www.philpalombi.com. He is one of the top NYC jazz musicians. The recordings he has done with his band Tri-Fi are stellar. He also did an amazing recording tribute to Scott Lafaro on which he plays Scott's 1825 Prescott bass! And Phil is an audiophile so some of his recordings are available in high-res right from his website, cool stuff!
