The more popularity vinyl gains, the better. Although, it may eventually drive up the prices due to increased demand.

If they begin to stock and sell used records, they can be a place where those of us wishing to sell a few might care to exhibit or shop.  This could be more than they imagined if promoted properly.  I think it is a brilliant idea.  Wish I had thought of it.

The folks replying to the article are mostly negative.  It's up to Whole Foods to see the potential and take the bull by the horns.  They oughta hire me.

Some folks may go hungry with vinyl being sold in grocery stores.

The fact that Whole Paycheck is selling records in a few stores as a marketing gimmick should not deceive anyone into thinking that vinyl is going to stage a commercially significant comeback. It isn't. Today's average music listener isn't willing to put in the effort to set up, operate, and maintain a vinyl rig, and couldn't care less about SQ.

Sorry to say, as soon as Whole Foods figures out how much money they are losing per square foot, some beancounter with the CEO's ear will see to it that this experiment ends quietly. I say the over/under is six months.
