Greetings - freshly returned from receiving Underwood/pcX Level 2 modifications is this immaculate Peachtree Nova 125
in rosewood case. I'll include Underwood HiFi's description of the modification specifics below, but just know that this is an entirely
different animal from the stock unit! Wow, with burn-in time still to go the unit sounds just DYNAMIC. All the sonic attributes
Underwood claims for the Level-2 mod package are "right on". Walter at Underwood is asking $2,290 + shipping for a Nova 125
modded to this fantastic level. In addition, I had Chris Johnson at pcX replace the lackluster 6N1P tube with a NOS Reflektor and it
made a world of difference. The tube stage is now actually AUDIBLE and a fine option, I now prefer it to the SS setting. Also, since
there was a new, improved fuse holder installed I had pcX swap the stock fuse out for a HiFi Tuning Supreme. So, if you're looking
for an excellent all-in-one solution, either desktop or main system use, this Nova 125 is "like new" at a SAVINGS OF OVER $700.
I'm parting with it only because I've stumbled into possession of a Dodd battery powered preamp and am going to pursue a system
rebuilt around "separates". My asking price is both firm/fair; buyer will pay my cost for shipping anywhere in the continental US -
sorry no international shipping. Will ship in original Peachtree packing with remote, manual, 6N1P tube, original fuse & power cord.
If you're interested and have any questions please drop me a line.

The amp in the Nova 125 is a new series ICE amp that puts out 125 watts into 8 ohms and over 200 watts into 4 ohms.
It is the newest ICE design and outperforms the older amp modules that are used in products like the 100 watts per channel
Jeff Rowland power amplifier and amps from Bel Canto. The Nova 125 drivers virtually all speakers and amazes users when
driving very hard loads like Magnepans, big B&W's and hi end Martin Logan's with ease. Our modifications take this integrated amp
from great value to simply great. The modifications were designed by Chris Johnson, the founder and former president of Sonic Frontiers.

The following details our Level-1 mod:
1) We add 3 National Semiconductor LME 49720 "SMT" dual opamps to the input buffer, DAC buffer and headphone output buffer.
2) We add 2 MultiCap PPMFX Series metalized Polypropylene signal coupling caps
3) We add 8 Nichicon audio-grade FW & HZ series power supply electrolytic caps
4) We replace the cheap input/fuse holder with a Furutech AC inlet/fuse holder. This is Rhodium plated.
5) One sheet of Soundcoat is cut and placed on the chassis to dampen vibrations.
6) Four EAR Sorbothane isolation feet are added.
7) 10 feet of WBT solder is used in the mod
8) 3 hours labor to complete the mod.

The modified unit is more dynamic, has a warmer more liquid midrange and bigger soundstage. Imaging is more stable
and hi frequencies are smoother with more detail. The L-1 modified amps are superb value and untouched at this price.
