FS: Klipsch Chorus 2 Speakers / Upgraded - $600
« on: 16 Aug 2013, 08:31 pm »
Greetings - I worked my tail off upgrading these Chorus 2's, hate to let them go,
but need to make room for a new speaker system. The list of upgrades is as follows:

Bob Crites crossovers / internal speaker wire / titanium tweeter diaphragms

No Rez damping material; replaces really cheap foam

Vampire binding posts

Makore hardwood veneer top/sides; ash burl front baffle

Completely rebuilt bases replacing woefully inadequate originals.
Fabricated from 3/4" cross-braced ply, damped with No Rez

Sound O'City outriggers (worth $200+ alone)

Well the project went well and the Chorus 2's sound damn fine! They play all kinds of
music well, can shake the house foundation if you choose, but sound great at more
civilized output levels. Considering that Chorus 2's can go for $400-600, these beauties
are a steal at the asking price, which is FIRM thank you very much. Due to the size and
weight, I'm offering these for local pickup ONLY, no shipping. I live in the San Francisco
East Bay area, so if you're nearby and want to score an excellent speaker at a pittance
drop me a line. Thanks for looking.

Great looking speakers, wish I were 2000 miles closer and I'd buy them!

Marbles & rocoeiii - I'm pleased that you like their appearance.
A lot of elbow grease went into these pups! Thanks, Kurt.

Assume these are no longer available?
