Koetsu Black - What Loading Do You Use?
« on: 13 Aug 2013, 05:32 am »
I have just purchased a phono preamp with variable resistive loading.
What value do other Koetsu Black owners use?
From reading various posts and forums it appears 50Ohms is the most common.
What loading do you use?

I don't know about the Black but I usually start with 100 on my Koetsus.  It gets smoother with less and detailed with more.  You have to find the right balance for your ears.  The type of music you listen to and the ancillary equipment will also affect the final value.  I am at 100 with my Urushi.  Good luck and welcome to Koetsu magic. :thumb:

Likewise 100 ohms for my Black but 50 isn't an option.

Thanks for the guidance - I'll start with 100 and move around that value.
Another question - what tracking weight do you find works best for the Black?

Near 2 grams.
