I have 6ohm speakers was running my amp at 8 ohm wire setting.  didn't try cranking amp, but just today  switched to 4 ohm output setting and was enjoying everything at moderate levels, then in a moment of alcohol stupidity cranked volume and saw a blue flash.  all tubes were still glowing, but bias meter reading on one power tube is zero???  fuse or blown tube?

please don't be too hard on me!  lol  what is a SAFE setting for my 6 ohm speakers with my amp....thanks!!!

Check the fuse first, but I suspect your tube went bad.  Running your 6 ohm speaker through the 4 ohm tap shouldn't have been a problem.  I would guess it's just a coincidence and the tube (probably) was about to go anyway.  But you may have gotten lucky and just blown a fuse.
