Hi all

As a new owner of a pair of VSA Unifield model Two MKII speakers, I just wanted to share my experience and my opinion concerning these "small" but fabulous loudspeakers. I already introduced myself in the post
http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=97466.msg1240816#msg1240816To get new loudspeakers is always an exciting moment! The trip from USA to Belgium went fine, packaging was in perfect condition (packaging was excellent, very secure, thanks to VSA!), the unpacking and installation at home went also fine. Even if they seem small I can say that it's heavy

The UF2 still packed:

My stands (Solid-Tech Radius 620mm) filled with sand:

The whole system:

I'm now in the break-in period for a few weeks, even if they are already very impressive, I will wait before posting any serious comments concerning sound.
Just some remarks/experiences with the UF2 MK2:
My first mistake was to put too much Blu-Tack under speakers... It produces a muffled sound with a big lack of high frequencies, spatialization and depth, a very bad sound in summary! I have read that the advised size for Blu-Tack is the size of a pea (feel free if you have any advice?). After this change, good sound was back.
The main difference that I heard between MKI and MKII until now is the extension in bass, it seems to me that the MKII has a wider bandwidth and they explore more lower frequencies. Maybe too much bass

cause I had to put them more away from the rear wall and I still sometimes have some resonances (due to my room).
In appearance the MKI and MKII are almost identical, except the terminals (maybe last MKI also were these terminals ):

The painting of front also looks different, it looks more robust in the MKII (maybe last MKI also were this painting)
Feel free to post your comments
