New VPI Turntables with Gimbaled Tonearms

It seems VPI has developed gimbaled replacements for the VPI Scout and VPI Classic unipivot tonearms. There was an article in TAS magazine on the Scout last month. SoundStage Direct has started selling the new version of the Classic.

The new 9" Scout tonearm is non-adjustable as to Azimuth according to TAS. It isn't clear on the Classic version - it does have on the fly VTA and adjustable anti-skate.

Their website has no information on these new tonearms, but they look similar to the Traveller tonearm.

I would be interested in listening impressions if anyone has a chance to hear these new arms.

The irony.
Like Ktm returning to linkage suspension.
