Excerpts from the article exposing Romy the Cat's "modesty" and general sense of being well-liked (sarcasm intended):

"Anyhow, for sake of credibility, I have to mention that in one way or another, and due to certain financial flexibility, I have had exposure to the most of the commonly available commercial elements of so-called High-End audio."

"I generally do not bring Audio people in my home. I consider most of audiophiles are Zombie-idiots and I feel incredibly bored when they’re sitting in my room,  when I’m spining for them Josef Hofman playing Rachmaniniff or Furtwangler playing Brahms and those Morons keep asking me: “Ok, … and where is the famous Romy’s Sound?”

" I usually have very high ability to identify the audio-idiots: my estimate is approximately 97% of all audiophiles out there, and I do not allow them in my listening room."

Me thinks I like this guy already!

Although I can't remember what he wrote here that caused a ruckus, it's quite clear this fellow is one hardcore audiophile!  Yeeowza!  It's always interesting to see how far people take their passion for a hobby\obsession.  Not that I read the whole thing or anything, but I thought this was funny:

Note: Please, stop send me the emails about the bad quality of the images within this page: they made so bad INTENTIONALLY.
Find something else to do in audio besides practicing the internet audio fetish.

Leaving aside his amusing dip into "Engrish" this makes me laugh because the irony that he is fanatical about the reproduction of audio but not about digital images.  The two are SO much alike in so many ways.  Isn't bad photography the audio equivalent of listening to a Bose wave radio? :P  Audiophiles get in such a tizzy about MP3s but aren't super compressed JPEGs just as unfaithful to the source?  Well anyway, more power to 'em, this dude is hardcore.

nate, what *i* find so funny is the irony that romy is easily as obsessed w/audio over the internet, as anyone i've ever heard about, yet he suggests:   "find something else to do in audio besides practicing the internet audio fetish."

i have followed romy's posts here-n-there over the years, & he really *is* quite comical, imo...  tho i disagree w/him regarding his opinion that you're an audio idiot if your tastes aren't exactly like his, the guy is *really* smart, imo.  and, his twisting of words is quite intentional, the double-entendre's yust adding to the humor...

If this is the guy who used to post kind of pseudo-intellectual messages on AudioAsylum - thanks but no thanks. You'll get tired of him pretty quickly.
