My vinyl setup:

Pro-Ject 1Xpression
  - Speed Box mk2
  - Acryl-it acrylic platter

Dynavector 10x5

Bryston B60 internal phono stage

Turntable sits on a Musical Fatality (er Fidelity) Stable-1 isolation base.  The only Musical Fidelity thing I've ever liked.

I tried a few different mats when I had the stock aluminum platter.  Easily the best one was Herbie's mat.  After buying the acrylic platter, I no longer use a mat.  Sounds better that way.

I also have a KAB USA EV-1 vacuum cleaner.  It's a Nitty Gritty mnus the internal vacuum motor.  I connect my Dyson, and I'm good to go.

If my Apple TV gen 1, iPhone as remote and Rega DAC weren't so easy, convenient and great sounding, I'd spin more vinyl.  My vinyl still sounds better, but the gap isn't huge anymore.  They're definitely different though.

I have a Thorens TD125 Mark II with their TP15 tonearm and a Shure V15III cartridge that I bought new in the seventies. It has the original dustcover, a Thorens end-of-record tonearm lift, and a Thorens maintenance kit with extra belts and grease. I haven't used it in quite awhile, but the discussion here is stimulating me to either get a phono preamp and hook it up or pass it on to an analog lover. I made the mistake of many others in the eighties, giving away an extensive rock/folk/jazz/classical vinyl collection and replacing the discs with CDs. I still have a few vinyl LPs, including the Mobile Fidelity pressing of Abbey Road, The Rutles, and several classical, folk, rock, OTR, and comedy discs that never made it to CD.

Best fishes,

Rich

Just sold my Rega Fono cause I want to upgrade. Maybe the new Rega Aria. Not sure.

I had for a long listen Rega P5 and P7 both with Rega MM cartridges.
Owned Rega P9/RB1000/Apheta - sold it as I am waiting for RP10 (probably at the end of this year)

all thru:

BP1.5,  BP26, 7 B SST2, PMC EB1i

BP 1.5 plays very well with Rega Apheta MC cartridge!

Rega P5 with Benz Glider cart to Bryston BP1.5 phono
Plus
Kuzma Stabi/Stogi S with Dynavector 17D3 cart to  Audio Research Sp-15 preamp which has a nice built in three tube phono section.
and finally
Dual "Golden One" TT with an old Dynavector Ruby23 cart to an Audio Research PH-2

Rega P3 with Exact cartridge into ProJect phono box SE2 then
the Lyngdorf DPA-1.

Bit of a humble tt but the main room has a suspended floor so i
run the leads through a twin layer insulated wall from the kitchen
where the floor is solid so great isolation.

Down to about ten feet of vinyl after a big clearout, sold some and charity shopped the
rest. Local radio dj bought all my 12" singles so they still get used.

The absense of a John Deere turntable circle here at AC baffles the s**t out of me.
