I thought it would get better as it went on, as well...and by that point I started to really resent it cause I was too far in to not follow through to at least see how it all played out.
If anything ever went down in this manner in real life, I'd probably need to move out of the country lol...the ineptitude of basically every law enforcement agency involved was on full display week after week. You could almost bet on the fact that at some point during the show, they'd have that ONE officer standing guard or going to investigate something...backup nowhere to be found, even though it's the same thing over and over.
As much as I like Kevin Bacon, and in fact his character was a rare bring spot of the show for me, this series was just absurd.
