I doubt the Qts of those vintage 15s will be useful but sometimes you get lucky, did you try them out yet?

I know this thread is a bit old but I'll comment anyway.

I've had 4 of those set ups over the years and I wished I'd never given them away. At least the woofers. Yes, I gave them back to St. Vinney's, where I got the consoles from. About 5-7yrs ago our local St. Vinney's sold consoles for under $20 after tax. Then I guess they started looking at ebay asking prices and, well I don't buy there anymore.

IIRC the horns are 16ohm (@12ohm measured) and the woofers are 8ohm (@7.5ohm measured). There was / is a series? crossover that comes in the cabinet. You should use that if you still have it. I believe it attenuates the horn to match the woofers. Horns are about 6db+ more than the woofers, which are in the low 90's (again, IIRC).

My woofers (all 8ohm) had an Fs in the mid-50's IIRC and the Qts was fairly high, in and around 1.0.

Anyway, although not a fan of compression drivers / horns (maybe I haven't heard the right set up yet), I loved the woofers. I mated a pair of them up with all sorts of free or almost free stuff and they just sound nice.

I bet if you put the whole set up into a quick and dirty Visiton NoBox design it would sound so much better than the sum of the parts has a right to sound.

They look similar to these old Zeniths which turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

Hi all sorry not to respond sooner.

yes i still have them use them every day. as to sound i was happy with the open baffle, i added a 10" powered sub to help out in the sub lows. made the difference
i can turn this system down to 1 watt (est) and the sound coming out of this set up is nice, and it is clear and balanced. do that with 300 hundred watt systems.

matching  power amp 15 watt speakers 15 watts works well at all volumes

so if you looking for a cheap speakers and horn for your little Maggie hear you go. I am  happy  FREE SPEAKERS whats not to love

Poultrygeist i took my high powered bi amp setup down  to try this and it never set it back up.  cant say it sounded beter but it sounded more live? to me.
