Let's say you can't afford a TVC or AVC based passive. Or even a Lightspeed. What to do?

This isn't bad at all: http://www.akustyk.com/

Just add $200 for a remote! And make sure your 'output' interconnects are short, low capacitance, and your input impedance of the amp is not less than 10k (50k would be preferred).

Best,
Anand.

I have one of these pres.  48 steps to the attenuator should be the norm not the exception!

I have two Khozmo pre amps. Great guy. One of my volume knobs had an issue, he sent me knew ones the next day.  Correct on short RCA cords and have yet to use new remote.  Jon

Great link Anand, I wonder if the $200 additional for the remote defeats the C&C aspect of the product.  I would guess most C&C systems focusing on sound quality don't have remotes, however I can think of some exceptions, thus the question.

Secondly, are there any forum or mainstream reviews of the product?  Not that reviews in either format are end all be all, but it does give one a perspective, at least one other person's viewpoint, or something to read while on the throne.

Thanks guys, even though Sarajan's reviews are like reading what 100 monkeys might type out if given enough time, I got the jist of it.  I think that what I think he's saying is that it's not bad for the price and has a low noise floor.  However one could never be sure.  Maybe Enjoy the Music or Part Time Audiophile will do something.  However I appreciate your efforts in finding the review.
