Thanks guys, I appreciate your comments,
Looks like that would be even worse for increasing the soundstage.
John exactly right, worse, I am just curious whats happing with those two parcel walls.
I would think treating the two partial walls with what you have there would be most effective, or adding diffusion there. For early reflections from the front wall disturbing the soundstage, I believe they act as if a solid wall 6' long. Of course the first reflection point would need attention, I'm assuming you've already addressed that. Additionally any distance you can pull the speakers out from the two partial walls will help, understanding it looks like you have limited space to do much there.
Letitroll98, That's the first place I have addressed. I may too much there right now, Tri-traps from floor to ceiling, a monster trap across in front of the tri's., bass trap on both main adjacent walls, two broadband down the main walls at first & second reflection points.
Is the 'bar' around four feet high? Could you treat the front of that bar with absorbers perhaps? My guess is that might balance things up and give you that bigger soundstage. It's only a guess though!
Could you move your chair further back and therefore pull the speakers out too, as well as putting them nearer the side walls?
Hipper, I tried placing a basstrap covering the Bar, I did not really hear any change. But moving the listening point back is where I am now. I have moved the speakers appart 10' 11".
How much toe in have you played with?
Crossing the axis in front of you & moving the speakers
back & out may accomplish some of what you are looking for.
You most likely will gain some depth, improve imaging and the width
aspect is the lone variable.
Carl V I have them toed ( 22.5 deg), This is the best sound thus far.
I plan on experimenting with toe-in all the way and pulling the speakers down the equallateral line towards me.
So far the SPL vs freq plots look OK and waterfall looks OK. But I still have to get subwoofer integration
better.
How High should broadband adsorption panel (24x48) be place on the wall ??????Harrison
