Thanks James, we do our best :)

For the next big Bryston launch you'll have to come over.

Going to be doing a Maggie/Bryston Open Day next, maybe you could bring those 20.7's over with you :)

Another great day at HiFi Lounge.  A healthy turn out of devotees & audiophiles and a good dose of sunshine, too.
As always, Tom Barron was in showering us with his energy and humour.  Along with some great and varied tunes.  The barbecue was thoughtful and well appreciated.  And Wendy did a sterling job of keeping everybody hydrated.

The fact 12s.................................... ..............AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I spent an hour listening to them & felt they were playing with my mind.  Then I began to figure them out; they have all of the usual top end PMC values, but they really do offer something new.
The bass output is prodigious and they are so bloody fast.  Their dynamic reach is uncanny - I looked down at the Bryston SP3 a few times, convinced that Tom had upped the volume level a lot.  Time after time they completely caught me out.
Never before have I heard a PMC speaker with such a healthy low end, especially given the box size (the bass really is big), combined with such lightning timing and dynamics which explode out of the box.  The latter two are the best I've witnessed from PMC.
And the real head scratcher - eyes shut one could mistake them for MB2is, yet they are in a fact chassis.  How is that possible?!

This hifi thing is depressing!

Hey Kyri,

Great to see you yesterday and thanks for your help throughout the day mate, really appreciated :thumb: If you are anything like me once I heard the Fact.12's at Munich in around 3-4 days you'll start getting withdrawal symptoms, they really are very addictive :)

A Big Thanks To Everyone Who Came To Our Fact Day!

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to say a big thanks on behalf of myself and Wendy to everyone who came along to our PMC Fact.12 event yesterday, a great turnout again, with the upstairs demo room packed most of the day with the Fact.12’s definitely being the stars of the day, helped by Tom the DJ who spent all day with the ipad in hand selecting a great selection of tunes, so we’d also like to say a big thanks to Tom Barron for giving up his Saturday and doing such a stirling job, top man.

Throughout the day I kept hearing comments of astonishment about the performance of the Fact.12’s, it really is hard to comprehend that a speaker as svelte as the Fact.12 can perform as it does, I think it is fair to say that every single person came away mightily impressed with the Fact.12’s and many people figuring out how they can afford a pair asap.

As a bonus the weather held out most of the day, just a small shower mid afternoon but by then all the BBQ food had well and truly been demolished, it seemed to go down pretty well and it was great to be able to use the gardens at last as when we took on the building for HiFi Lounge that was always one of the appealing aspects of it, great to see it used at last as I had always imagined.

So I just want to say thanks one more time, great to see so many familiar and new faces, hope to see you all again shortly, unfortunately I haven’t got any pictures for a change, I was having too much fun and then at the end of the day I realised that I didn’t take one photo which was a shame.

Obviously the Fact.12’s are well and truly run in now, we didn’t actually leave till 9pm as we couldn’t pull ourselves away, but if you couldn’t make the event but would like to hear the Fact.12’s please feel free to come in anytime as we will have them on permanent display and will always be pleased to demo them at anytime.

Thanks again, hope to see some of you again for our Bruce Springsteen Appreciation day this weekend for a day of the Boss and another BBQ :-)

Cheers,

Paul and Wendy.

Look Who's Just Popped In :)

We are having Bruce Springsteen Open Day here this Saturday, the idea being to play Bruce music and footage all day, all through our Bryston and PMC rigs with a BBQ if the weather holds. Well I will either get dragged away by the men in white coats for this or by Bruce’s lawyers but amazingly we now have Bruce in the building for the build up to our Bruce Springsteen day.

I decided to give Bruce the guided tour of HiFi Lounge, he was very quiet to be honest but I think he was impressed, it is amazing that in real life he looks just like he does on stage, guitar in hand giving it a 100%, anyway he has decided to stick around for the weekend so if you are coming along you’ll be able to meet him, like I say though he seems a bit shy so you may not get much of a conversation out of him, he’ll just let his music do the talking :-)

Anyway here are a few pics of Bruce at HiFi Lounge -

I thought I could hear someone at the font door.

Bruce with a PMC and Bryston PA.

The Big 3, Bruce, MB2 SE’s and the Maggie’s.

He definitely approved of our ‘Wall Of Bruce’.

Time for a country walk, I wish he’d put that guitar down.

Well there you go, yep, maybe I should get out more and I probably have got too much time on my hands at the moment but it isn’t everyday you get Bruce in your hifi shop :-) I’m actually putting it down to be stuck in this building on my own day after day, I think its sending me a bit crazy.

Obviously it goes without saying if anyone is a Bruce fan and would like to hear his music blasting out from a Bryston/PMC system please feel free to drop by :)

Cheers.

Thanks James, I thought people might think I've lost the plot but it made me smile so I thought why not :)

Bruce Springsteen Appreciation Day Running Order!

Hi All,

I spent a couple of hours last night going through all my Bruce footage trying to figure out a running order for the cinema room for tomorrow, it’s amazing how much material you gather over the course of nearly 30 years, We could almost run several Bruce days like a concert footage day, a documentary day, a vinyl day, a request day, we could just do a Bruce open day once a month, needless to say I think this could be the first of many  :)

Anyway this is what I thought could work, obviously it is open to change but I thought it would at least be a good idea to start with a plan then we can see where the day takes us –

8.30 – The Video Anthology 1978-2000

11.00 – Hammersmith Odeon 1975 Live

12.30 – Live at the Ahmanson Theatre Los Angeles 1973 (3 Songs) Thundercrack and Wild Billy’s Circus are just amazing.

1.00 - Superbowl Show 2009 – I watched this again last night, it really is a Bruce show in 12 mins.

1.15 - BBQ With Hard Rock Calling 2009 Playing

During the afternoon we can do requests, whether that be vinyl, a favourite song, more video as I’d really like to watch the ‘Wings For Wheels The Making of Born To Run’ or ‘The Promise The Making Of Darkness On The Edge Of Town but we’ll just see how things go.

Downstairs we will have music streaming all day from a mix of concert material and officially released albums.

Hope to see some of you tomorrow for what I hope will be a fun day celebrating the greatness of Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band  :)
