I'll save the flowery descriptions, for any inquiries you might have...about this fine IA (I never mind talking shop, with a fellow 'phile). Here is what I will say here: I've tried a lot of gear; a LOT of gear (hence...the regular, and perfect feedback).
I had never tried a fully tubed amp; but quality, tubed pre-amps...into good solid-state power. This unit always intrigued me...but I was perfectly happy, with the $6500 and revered Conrad Johnson CA-200. With gear of this level...I don't tend to use words like "bettered" or "bested"; but...the CA-200 is gone (and sold, in about a New York minute...to a gentleman, who was replacing quality C-J separates; and he was pleased as punch. I'm sure, I could provide him as a reference), and this ARC stayed!
It's in good shape (though I will look even closer, and snap some more...close-up pics soon), and the 7/10 reflects age and conservative rating (check my feedback, and you'll see I tend to under-promise...and over-deliver). Why am I selling; is it because I found something even "better"? Remember...at this level, I don't use words like that. This is a GREAT IA, and I could have used it happily for a long, long time. I just tend to switch gear around.
My loss, could be your gain. Hard to know how to price these; they don't come up that often. I've done some research; I've seen everything from ~$3400, to ~$2000 (but that one was broken, and repaired at ARC; in my mind, that should command a little less). I know it cost ~$4k new...and that the VSi-60, while a little bit newer; is likely the same circuit, with a slightly different input section and tube (and I see one listed on AG, as we speak...for $3500).
So...$2200 seems fair; but I'll listen to reason, and take offers. PayPal will cost customary 3%; buyer to only pay actual and reasonable s&h. Again...please PM me, if you have any questions about this unit, its sound, or how it might fit nicely into your system.
