I use an Ipad as remote for my mini, which uses Pure Vinyl. I'm presently use the free Apple remote app and don't like it. I've used Twonkymedia at a friends and like the feature that keeps track of all the songs you listened in a session and that it has a disc on the screen for controlling vol and forward and back, of course it only works on PC. Can anyone suggest other apps that work with Macs.

I'm not sure what specific functionality you are looking for beyond the Remote app?

'History' lists songs that have already played (which can be replayed) and 'Up Next' allows you to add and delete songs as well as edit the play order of the queue.

There is no "disk on the screen", but the Volume slider and Forward and Back buttons are visible in any screen view.
