5.1/6.1 and 7.1 input on avr.

Does anyone know if the 5.1/6.1 and 7.1 input on the avr by passes the internal ADC and processing?

On many AVRs the analog multi-inputs do bypass processing, but not on all of them. What is the brand and model?

Not sure specifically on the SR6400, but on later Marantz models the multichannel inputs are bypassed. I would think that is also the case on the earlier 6xxx series. If the AVR speaker levels, bass management and tone controls have no effect it is a pretty good indication that the processor is not digitizing the the multichannel inputs.
