I'm considering selling my recently acquired Thor Audio TPA-30 mono amps; as you can read from the reviews, these are extremely high quality el34 based mono amps--supposedly Thor's response for their customers that wanted more of the "SET" sound. I understand the MSRP was over $10k, and that was around 10 years ago!
These are the best sounding el34 based amps that I've heard; extremely juicy & musical but with very good extension and bass control.
Thor Audio has been purchased by one of their long time dealers, Ted Lindblad III, and he has relocated the company to just north of Dallas. Even though I purchased the amps used (from the original owner), Ted has been a delight to correspond with regarding these outstanding beauties.
My system configuration and space restraints just aren't working well with mono amps and as much as I hate to part with these, storage just really isn't an option.
I would be looking to move these a just a slight loss from what I paid in early March; likely looking for around $2,500 (includes a couple of sets of tubes).
