removing the feet from bp-26/mps-2
« on: 9 Jun 2013, 03:30 pm »
Ive picked up some Nordost Sort Kones and would like to remove the feet from my pre/psu,  anyone done it? what driver would I need to get to remove them, its a square screw head, ive never seen before..also, is there a nut on the other end, requiring me to whip the lids off to retrieve them?

cheers :thumb:

The driver required is a red Robertson in Canada, or #2 square in the USA.  Square head screws are becoming common, at least in woodworking, in the US, so you should be able to find a driver.

The screw threads into a 10/32 PEM nut, which is pressed into the chassis before painting, so no worries about it falling off.

IMPORTANT:  When changing feet, be very careful that the hardware does not thread more than 1/8" into the chassis, or you may damage the circuit boards within.

Thanks,

Mike

cheers Mike, just what I wanted to hear!

no danger of damaging the circuit board, the chassis going to sit on the kones, its just more aesthetically pleasing without the original feet on :D
