BP-25 remote question
« on: 3 Jun 2013, 03:27 pm »
hello,

my BP-25 remote (with new batteries) is less sensitive than all other remotes in my household. Only when used from a moderate distance and in a straight line without any obstacles it works, while other remotes work flawless anywhere in the same room. Is this the normal behaviour or needs the remote or BP-25 service?  http://www.audiocircle.com/Smileys/audiocircle/icon_confused.gif

That sounds odd to me. I can aim my 25 remote at the ceiling and it responds well.  Perhaps the sensor is weak on the amp.  James what do you think ?

Same here.  Mind you I have a really old one, that looks like it was whittled out of a solid block of steel.. But the LED works great both on and off axis.

Cheers

I suppose it's the newer type remote. And it does absolutely not work off axis. Do you think the BP-25 or the remote (or both) needs service?

That's the same as mine. Works off axis within reason :thumb:
