Decided to stick with my Krell for home theater, though this amp is more musical and has somewhat a more extended and sweeter top end. This is the best home theater amp Marantz has made, better than the 2 & 5 channel series below it as it has a copper bottom chassis, better toroidal (vs EI) transformer, among other things.
Far as I can tell almost identical to the current MM8077 but with 8 channels vs 7 and a slightly different faceplate. Both that & this amp retailed for $2400. Audiogon asking prices are $1100 - $1200. I'm asking $100-200 less & giving my AC buddies first crack before it goes on USAudiomart, Audiogon, etc.
It's in mint condition with the original box, power cable, manual and even RC code cable. I can ship USPS, UPS, and Fedex (preferred). Buyer pays shipping at actual cost. Estimated shipping weight is 43lbs.
