Gateway comes to The Bay

On a perfect 75 degree, made-for-convertible day....ScottF came for a visit after dialoging for 10 years + together via PM and this forum.

A country even the size of the US gets a lot smaller because of this internet thingee :thumb:

Nice photo John, thank you for posting.  :thumb:
Without stealing Scotts thunder, a bit of the back story should be told here......

Scott and his wife Laura flew to Canada (way over on the left side) to purchase the photographed 1966 Ford Thunderbird.
They then proceeded to pilot the newly restored machine down the left side of the country though Oregon, Washington and all the way down Cali to visit John (TCG).

Scott, I hope I didn't take too many liberties.  :D

Great stuff. I'm sooooo jealous.

Bob,

Not at all. When we get back in town I'll post pics and thoughts on this (as Blackmore called it) 'epic trip based around a car'...and it was epic.

John, it was great to finally meet in person after all these years :thumb:

If you're interested, look for a new post maybe Saturday night or more likely Sunday morning  :green:

Here's another view of the Tbird. John and I we're obscuring the tail end of the car.

One hunk of gorgeous iron it is.....it really bears being up close to it to fully appreciate all the wonderful lines and nuances of that auto.

Really, it was fun having the time to view it closely  8)
