SOLD: Tube Audio Lab 45 Amp SOLD
« on: 22 May 2013, 02:59 am »
$1,400 from 98332

For sale is a 45 stereo amplifier from Tube Audio Lab and based on the Jeff Korneff schematic. It’s in perfect condition with no scratches. This amp has an effortless and mesmerizing sound, reproducing the nuance and subtle inner detail of the music. The sound is warm like the highly regarded 300B amps I’ve owned (Coincident M300B Frankenstein MK II) but at the same time extraordinarily fast and detailed.

The amp has performed perfectly and is only being sold due to some system rearranging. It was originally built for Bill Anderson (October 2012) and can be seen on the Tube Audio site here:

http://www.tubeaudiolab.com/id213.html

Transformers are Electra-Print except the output, since Electra-Print stopped making power transformers, so a Hammond was used. The amp is nicely set up with Angela/Jensen Aluminum Foil Paper In Oil Capacitors and Takman porcelain resistors.

Operation mode: - 2 watts per channel - Pure Class A - Single Ended Triode - Directly-Heated - Auto biased

Included Tubes: - Output: Pair of National Union 45s - Input/Driver: Pair of GE 6SN7 GTB - Rectifier: National Union 5u4G

Features: - Transformers: Electra-Print and Hammond - 100% point-to-point wired, no PCB used.

Specifications: - Input impedance = 220k - No negative feedback

The amp will be well packed in a double box, outer is 24” x 24” x 16”, packed weight is 35 pounds. Buyer to pay shipping at real cost, with insurance. PP adds 3%. Or USPSMOs gladly accepted. See my positive feedback on A’gon (124 positive and 1 neutral) under the user name Jeff_ss
