watched this on netflix last night.  Highly recommended - very cool story of Rodriguez a long lost never was folk rock artist from late 60's / early 70's.

Agreed!  What a strange and interesting story abou a very unique dude. He's a true artist and the music in the movie, by Rodriguez, was very good.  I loved the part when they interviewed the record company guy in California and how he reacted when they asked him about the money from the South African record sales.  I'm sure it wasn't a lot but Rodriguez appears to have gotten nothing.

I also noticed he was missing part of a finger on his left hand.  Didn't seem to have affected his playing.  I like the guy and hope to see him play live sometime. He was in Chicago last night but I'm fighting a bad cold and was not in the mood to go out.   This guy tours non-stop around the world.  It's great to see so many people discovering his music.

A lot of his songs remind me of Bob Dylan. Great stuff!   :thumb:
