OMG - momentary power loss while system was playing music

I have the day off today so I was having a very nice time just listening to some music, when we had a short (about 2 seconds) power loss in our neighborhood. Before I could run to switch off the power on the amp the AC power was restored. In a panic I waited for the results. Everything appears to be fine - my preamp goes into automatic mute when power is cut so that was okay, and I wasn't using either my transport or turntable so no fear of motors spiking. When the FetValve recovered music came out sounding as good as ever. But do I need to fear that some as yet unheard problem may have occurred because of this?

There shouldn't be any problems. As you said, the preamp on/mute relay took the system down and gave you ample time to turn the volume down, so as not to blurb your speakers. Just like turning on the power switch, without the switch.

Yeah, this is almost never a problem with solid-state or hybrids. The wrong range of off-times will definitely kill tube amp fuses and/or rectifier tubes, however.
